Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks (about 8 oz each), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon steak seasoning (e.g., Montreal Steak Seasoning)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon A1 steak sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes. This step ensures the basket is hot enough to sear the steak and lock in the juices.
- Arrange the steak bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in two batches to avoid crowding.
- Cook the steak bites for 6 to 9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even browning. Adjust the timing to your preferred doneness:
- 6 minutes for medium-rare
- 7–8 minutes for medium
- 9 minutes for medium-well to well-done
- Transfer the hot steak bites directly to the bowl with the garlic butter sauce.
- Toss to coat evenly so that each bite is soaked in the rich, buttery flavor.
- Serve immediately while still hot for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- 1. Use the right cut: Ribeye is ideal, but make sure whatever cut you choose is not too lean. A little fat means more flavor and tenderness.
- 2. Cut evenly: Keeping the steak pieces similar in size ensures they cook at the same rate.
- 3. Don’t skip preheating: A hot air fryer basket gives your steak a better sear and texture.
- 4. Work in batches: Overcrowding leads to steaming rather than browning. Always give the steak bites enough room.
- 5. Use a meat thermometer if you’re unsure: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, 150°F for medium-well.
- 6. Rest time isn’t needed: Because the steak is in small pieces, you can serve it immediately after tossing in the sauce.
- 7. Clean-up tip: Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper (with holes) for easier clean-up and to catch any dripping fat.
